Today was our U.S. consulate date!! We had to swear an oath with 40 other American families adopting from China. It was awesome. Now, when we hit American soil, Ruthey will be an American!!
This was our last big step in the adoption process. Woo Hoo :) The director even recognized Ruthey's upcoming first birthday (10/30). One-third of all international U.S. adoptions go through this office. Amazing! What a great day. It's been a long five years but we made it and have this precious child to bring home with us. There were many times I didn't think this day would ever happen and I personally didn't know how much longer I could wait. Grateful that God never let Greg and I quit. His timing is perfect! He knew Ruthey was our little girl and we just had to wait until she was born.
Romans 11:33
"Oh, the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and unfathomable His ways! "
God is so good! It seems you have had an awesome trip and now have such a blessing to bring back! We've missed you and can't wait to see you all on Thursday!
