It's Official!!

It's official!!

Our laundry came packaged individually in plastic and folded as if it was ready for a retail store.

Wow!  What a busy day it has been!  Can I just say that we are all completely and totally in love.  She is perfect for our family.  Adjustments are going great.  Ruthey is very curious and "busy".  It's as if she is saying "Where have you guys been?  I've been waiting to be free".  With her personality, I can't imagine her just lying in a crib most of the day.  Our guide today said that is what her day consisted of....EVERYDAY.  We are all just smitten.
First of all, she slept all night.  We were given her schedule and at exactly 8:00 last night, she was ready to go to sleep.  She slept until 5:30; however, I think she would have slept longer had I not snatched her up at the first wimper :).  I just couldn't resist.  What's so funny is that Brady literally checked on her every hour.  I would roll over and see him up from his bed peeking over her.  His new nickname is Betty Lou :).  That's my mother-in-law that we all give a hard time about being so overprotective.  We love her for that.  I'm sure Ruthey will love Brady too for his overprotectiveness as well. 
Before beginning our busy day, we decided to give Ruthey a bath.  She absolutely loved it!! 
At 9:00 we were off to do paperwork with the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs).  We met with the orphange director.  Lots of signing our signatures and promising to never abandon Ruthey.  Our official Chinese legal adoption certificate is included in the pictures I'm sending.  She is officially our child according to CCAA!!!  It's been a long time coming, but worth the wait. 
Next, we went to WALMART... that's right, a Walmart Supercenter right here in Nanchang, China!  We are posting pictures of Ruthey's first shopping experience.  There will be many more to come.
Once we were finished with our paperwork and shopping, we came back to the hotel and decided to venture out for lunch.  Our guide told us of a great "western" restaurant within a ten minute walk.  We put Ruthey in the stroller (provided by hotel) and were off to eat.  She loved the stroller ride!!!  She kept laughing and boucning.  So cute.  Lunch was great.  
After so much activity, it was time for a nap.  She is such a sound sleeper.  Thank you, Lord.  I did pray for that. :) 
We are all now in the hotel just gazing upon this precious adorable little girl.  She is currently trying to talk to Kailey and Greg.  Lots of Chinese babbling going on.... it's hilarious!!  Wish I knew what she was thinking.  All we know is that we love her and she is perfect.  Can't wait for all of you to meet her. 
p.s.-  forgot to mention our laundry service.  It was delivered to the hotel a few minutes ago and each piece of clothing was neatly folded and placed in a plastic bag.  Each piece looked as if it was brand new ready to be sold in a store.  Pictures are included.

God did just that... far more than we ever imagined.. We praise Him for that!

  9. Loving today's update! What great news that Ruthey is a good sleeper . . . and that Brady is a good big brother! I'm sure Kailey is a wonderful big sister, too. Sounds like Ruthey's gonna keep you all quite busy. :-) God is so good!

    Tears of joy are just rolling down my face. It was such a long wait and with it so many prayers. Aren't you so thankful that God sustained you through all these years? What a dumb question!!! Now is your promised land! Enjoy your little Ruthey!
